We get asked frequently about selling a home on Cape Cod in the winter.  Our market definitely slows down around Thanksgiving thru February.  And the weather has a lot to do with people house hunting.  When there is 4 feet of snow on the ground, not too many folks like to be out, especially when many seasonal Cape homes do not get shoveled out.  But the most important thing we have found is winter buyers are serious! And there are plenty of winter buyers.  It is a nice to time to house hunt because it is easier to get around on the roads and it is easier to make appointments. If you want to sell your home, we absolutely think it should be on the market when you have it cleaned, emptied (as much as possible), and spruced up for sale.  Buyers watch every day for the new listings – even in Dec/Jan and Feb!
